5 new things introduced in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora From The Ashes DLC

The Avatar Frontiers of Pandora From The Ashes DLC expands upon the base game with a new, darker storyline, tougher enemies, and brand new weapons and skills. Set after the events of the main campaign, this expansion puts you in control of So’lek, a Na’vi warrior, who must fight off the brutal RDA soldiers who have collaborated with the fanatical Ash Clan.

Five new things added in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora From The Ashes DLC

1) Brand-new storyline featuring So'lek

Avatar Frontiers of Pandora From the Ashes DLC introduces So’lek, a seasoned Na’vi warrior, as the main lead. The character has already appeared in the main campaign in a supporting role.

In the DLC storyline, So’lek awakens in a destroyed Kinglor Forest after a brutal attack by the RDA and the ruthless Ash Clan. Moreover, all the Sarentu are also missing. The narrative of the expansion has you track down the Sarnetu and take revenge against the RDA soldiers as well as the Mangkwan hunters led by Wukula.

2) New Ash Clan and RDA enemies

The Ash Clan is a group of Na’vi who have broken with Eywa and have allied with the RDA against their own kind. Together with the sky people, they hunt So’lek and the Resistance across the Western Frontier. Unlike standard human troops, the Mangkwan warriors move and fight like a Na'vi, making them quite challenging to defeat.

On the RDA side, the enemy forces now have access to upgraded AMP and Skel suits that are much more powerful. Moreover, the From The Ashes expansion also adds Hellhounds, which are robotic dogs with high agility.

3) New Ravines area

The From The Ashes DLC sends you into a devastated version of Kinglor Forest, where the RDA and Mangkwan forces have decimated the lush green landscapes of Pandora. Additionally, they have also destroyed the sacred Hometree.

Apart from that, a new area called The Ravines has been added to the title in the expansion, which is built around steep cliffs.

4) Third-person gameplay mode

Apart from the new content, From The Ashes also adds an optional third‑person mode to Avatar Frontiers of Pandora at no extra cost. Once the update is installed, you can freely switch between first and third person POVs at any time, depending on the situation. Moreover, this option works in both the base game as well as the DLC storyline.

The third-person POV makes it quite easier to watch your surroundings and your character's movement during exploration and combat. As such, it can be quite advantageous at times, making it an amazing new addition.

5) Enhanced combat with new skills and an explosive bow

Combat in From the Ashes DLC is more aggressive, owing to So’lek’s background as a warrior. He wields a powerful new bow that can fire explosive arrows, which deal significant damage. These arrows are even capable of destroying tough AMP suits and other tough RDA targets.

The expansion also provides new skill options suitable for close‑quarters and ranged combat. Additionally, the new Warrior Sense ability, which boosts damage, grants temporary immunity, highlights enemy weak points, and much more, makes fights in the DLC feel quite cinematic.
