5 Feuds That Could Light Up WWE in 2026

With 2025 coming to an end, WWE fans are already looking ahead to the new year and the fresh feuds that could be on the cards. The company is likely to start the buildup towards WrestleMania from the very first episode of RAW on January 5, and it could be the start of several major storylines.

On that note, here are five feuds that could light up WWE in 2026:

5. Rhea Ripley vs. IYO SKY

Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY are currently teaming up in pursuit of the Women's Tag Team Championship. The two fan favorites have been prominently booked so far, but things could change down the line.

Ripley has been a babyface since before her exit from The Judgment Day, and could turn heel to give her character a new direction in 2026. If so, she could have a dream feud with IYO SKY, which would surely be one of the highlights of the year.

4. CM Punk vs. Dominik Mysterio

Punk and Dominik Mysterio have a lot of history, which was revisited this year. Mysterio was incidentally Punk's first opponent back in WWE, at a live event. Next year, they could finally have an on-screen feud if Mysterio finally enters the main event picture after his Intercontinental Championship run.

The two are some of the best on the mic in the company, and could have a very memorable feud in the new year.

3. Cody Rhodes vs. CM Punk

While Cody Rhodes and CM Punk have been on the same page as world champions, things were tense between them ahead of the Royal Rumble. Next year, they could have a feud if one of them turns heel.

Rhodes and Punk are two of the biggest stars in WWE, and having them feud against one another would immediately get fans hyped about the product. Although unlikely to happen, it has the potential to define 2026 as a year if it does.

2. AJ Lee vs. Liv Morgan

AJ Lee finally made her return to WWE this year, and is still feuding with Becky Lynch. The issues between the two are far from over, but they will likely move on to other storylines in the new year. If so, Lee could have a feud with Liv Morgan.

The two stars have very similar personas and could have a very prominent feud in 2026. Lee would likely need backup provided Morgan has The Judgment Day behind her, but it would be interesting to see if they decide to go in this direction.

1. Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns

After the tease from Roman Reigns ahead of Survivor Series WarGames, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns could run it back one more time in 2026. The OTC could challenge for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, and could set up a third showdown at the Grandest Stage of Them All if he wins the Royal Rumble.

If so, Rhodes and Reigns could have a year-defining feud to complete their trilogy. It will be somewhat different now that there is no Bloodline backing the OTC, and it could change how Reigns is booked in the feud if it is revisited.
