The San Francisco 49ers are the only team in the NFL at 6-0, with only the 5-0 Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings left as undefeated teams.
For the 49ers, they're in a bit of a pickle for Week 7, as they're dealing with some real injury issues. More specifically, the 49ers have a pair of top wide receivers that are set to miss this weekend's matchup.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the 49ers have officially made the expected Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel decisions to make both inactive for their game against the Atlanta Falcons.
49ers rule out Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel for Week 7 vs. Falcons
"49ers ruled out Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel for Sunday's game in Atlanta," Schefter reported Friday afternoon.
This isn't surprising news at all, as from the start of the week, it seemed clear that both wide receivers would be out this week. But that doesn't mean it's not a tough blow for the 49ers offense.
Brock Purdy will have to beat the Falcons without a significant portion of this wide receiver room. Evans, Samuel, De'Zhuan Stribling, Demarcus Robinson, and Ricky Pearsall are all either on injured reserve or out this week.
Fortunately, Christian Kirk is set to come back, and he'll likely take over as the top target in this offense. Behind him, Brandin Cooks, Jordan Watkins, and Jacob Cowing make up the rest of the healthy WR room.

George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey are sure to get plenty of work on Sunday as well, but this offense is severely depleted heading into this Week 7 matchup.
Both Evans and Samuel were expected to miss this week, as the Week 8 bye gives both receivers an extra week to rest up and return to action when they're fully healthy, which could come in Week 9 when the 49ers face the Las Vegas Raiders.
But for their Falcons matchup, Kyle Shanahan is going to have to get a bit creative as his WR room is going to be without just about every top option.
