It's not clear that the San Francisco 49ers can afford to trade Jauan Jennings.
Especially if Brandon Aiyuk still needs time to recover from injury, the 49ers need Jennings back coming off his career-best season.
But it'll be tricky, because Jennings isn't happy with his $7.5 million contract for this season.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, he either wants an extension or a trade.
That has opened up some trade speculation. Jose Luis Sanchez III of SI came up with three possible destinations if Jennings is to be traded.
Those options:
- Cleveland Browns
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Los Angeles Chargers

If the 49ers do trade Jennings, it would make sense to send him out of the NFC entirely, so that works.
All three of those teams could use improvement among their secondary receivers, definitely.
It'd become a question of what kind of pick they would move for Jennings.
The ball is in the 49ers' court after Jennings' demands, so the football world will wait to see what happens.
