49ers GM John Lynch will get trolled in the future if his NFL Draft plan doesn’t work

AI has taken over the world over the past year or so, and it doesn't look like there's any end in sight. Some love it, some hate it, and others are indifferent to it.

Regardless, it certainly seems like there will be some impact on the world, and the San Francisco 49ers want to be ahead of it. Recently speaking about what AI has done for him, general manager John Lynch said that if teams aren't using it, they're behind.

“If you aren’t using [AI], you’re already behind, and the cool thing is what we found is you don’t need to be an expert,” Lynch said, per Vic Tafur of The Athletic. “Just like you at home planning a travel itinerary, you can just ask the thing, and it can spit out some pretty good things, some pretty good ideas.

“Our developers, I think we’re fortunate to be where we are, kind of at the epicenter of the innovation there. And we’ve tried to take advantage of that, and I do think every team is probably using it in some form or fashion, and I think that will only increase as we move forward.”

He didn't go into much detail about exactly what he's using AI for. Perhaps he's using it to just put in some numbers, and it spits out something, or he's doing something else completely different. Regardless, it'll be interesting to see if this continues to be a strategy for teams around the league or if the 49ers are the only ones doing it.
