It's a battle of 4-1 teams in the NFC as the San Francisco 49ers take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6.

The injuries have been the headline for the 49ers while they continue to win games. Players listed as inactive this week include QB Brock Purdy, WR Ricky Pearsall, WR Jordan Watkins, and others.

Fans didn't think things could get any worse – but edge rusher Nick Bosa won't be returning in 2025, and the worst-case scenario unfolded early in Week 6, this time involving franchise star Fred Warner.

49ers LB Fred Warner got rolled up on after a first-down run by Buccaneers RB Rachaad White. Among the pile of bodies, players from both teams began waving for the medical teams to come help an injured player.

It turned out to be Fred Warner, as the All-Pro linebacker got rolled up on and suffered a scary injury to his leg.

While being cared for, players from both teams gathered around to pray for one of the best linebackers in the entire league. Warner would later be carted off with an air cast on the injured leg.

Warner, 28, had just inked a brand new three-year, $63 million contract extension that includes $56 million in guaranteed money with the 49ers before the start of the 2025 season.

Through five games this season, Warner has 50 total tackles and two forced fumbles. He was on pace for tallying his eighth straight 100-tackle season.
