49ers' Brock Purdy contract is official proof he's the only good QB pick in a nightmare 2022 draft class

Mr. Irrelevant wasn't supposed to save the 2022 NFL quarterback draft class.

But if not for Brock Purdy, it'd be unquestionably the worst set of QBs ever to come out in one year.

Purdy already held the crown as the standard bearer for an otherwise awful group, and that role received its exclamation point on Friday when Purdy signed a five-year, $265 million extension with the 49ers.
