I’ve been sober for years now, and honestly, one of the biggest surprises was realizing how much better my life got with every single day I didn’t drink. Not overnight, and not magically, but little by little.
Better sleep, less anxiety, more energy, fewer terrible decisions, and way fewer mornings spent feeling like a raccoon died in my mouth overnight.
That doesn’t mean sobriety can’t still be weird, awkward, or funny sometimes, which is why sobriety memes always hit home for me.
