Drew McIntyre suffered another loss against Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night's Main Event XLI. The Scotsman previously fell short against The American Nightmare at Wrestlepalooza. With one more defeat, McIntyre's credibility has diminished significantly.

The stipulation for the second title bout stated that if Rhodes lost via disqualification or countout, McIntyre would win the Undisputed WWE Championship. This seemed like the perfect way for the creative team to take the title off The QB1 without affecting his momentum, and crown The Scottish Warrior at the same time.

However, Rhodes once again prevailed, pinning Drew McIntyre to retain his title. With another massive setback, the Stamford-based promotion needs to take some major steps to ensure McIntyre regains his footing as a credible competitor.

Let's look at four ways WWE could revive Drew McIntyre's career following Saturday Night's Main Event XLI:

#4. Have him win the Last Time is Now Tournament

John Cena will wrestle his last match at the next Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13. The Franchise Player announced the Last Time is Now Tournament to determine his final opponent.

With his feud with Cody Rhodes seemingly over, McIntyre should participate and win the tournament. Being Cena's final opponent would revive the Scotsman's momentum following his massive loss against The American Nightmare.

#3. Have him get the win for a heel team at Survivor Series WarGames

The next Premium Live Event on WWE's calendar is Survivor Series: WarGames. The event will take place on November 29 in San Diego, California. The creative team will likely start the buildup for the Men's WarGames Match from the upcoming episodes of RAW and SmackDown.

McIntyre should participate in the bout as part of the heel side and secure the win for his team. This would potentially put The Scottish Warrior right back in title contention, as scoring the pinfall in one of the most anticipated matches of the year will re-establish his position as a dominant competitor.

#2. Let him reignite his rivalry with CM Punk and dethrone him for the World Title

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre had a highly acclaimed rivalry last year that resulted in a trilogy of hard-hitting matches. The Second City Saint ultimately won the feud, defeating McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood.

Interestingly, both competitors had a world title shot at Saturday Night's Main Event XLI. While the Scotsman fell short, Punk managed to lift the World Heavyweight Championship by beating Jey Uso.

This has presented the perfect opportunity for the creative team to renew Punk and McIntyre's rivalry. The Scottish Warrior should move to RAW and challenge The Best in the World for the World Title. Since Punk won their last feud, the Scotsman should get the upper hand in this one and dethrone The Second City Saint as World Heavyweight Champion.

#1. Drew McIntyre should retire John Cena by defeating him

As mentioned above, McIntyre could be a great pick to win the Last Time is Now Tournament. Given John Cena's legendary career, being his final opponent would be a privilege in itself. However, defeating The Cenation Leader to retire him would etch his opponent's name in the history books.

The momentum Drew McIntyre could get by defeating The GOAT in his retirement match is what the Scotsman needs after suffering so many setbacks lately.
