3 potential NHL off-season trade destinations for Rangers' Vincent Trocheck

1 hour ago 3

New York Rangers center Vincent Trocheck is one of the top trade candidates in the NHL this off-season.

It was no secret that the Rangers shopped him leading up to the 2026 NHL trade deadline, and they should once again this summer.

With Trocheck being an impactful top-six center with a good contract, he should generate interest from multiple teams. Because of this, let’s look at three clubs that could pursue Trocheck this off-season.

Detroit Red Wings

The Red Wings were among the teams connected to Trocheck leading up to this year’s deadline, so it would not be surprising if they pursued him this summer.

This is especially so with Dylan Larkin requesting a trade from the Red Wings. If the Red Wings landed Trocheck, he would give them a notable upgrade for their second-line center spot over Andrew Copp.

Minnesota Wild

The Wild were another club that was linked to Trocheck this season. The Wild are still in need of some serious help down the middle; they stand out as a prime landing spot for Trocheck.

If they acquired Trocheck, he would give their center depth a major boost as they look to make a big push for the Stanley Cup next season. Wild GM Bill Guerin also clearly likes him as a player, too, as Trocheck was on Team USA’s Olympic roster.

Montreal Canadiens

Adding a second-line center should be one of the Canadiens’ top goals this summer. With this, it would be understandable if they kicked tires on Trocheck this off-season.

He would not only give them another point-producing center but also would serve as a great mentor for Montreal’s younger players as the team looks to continue heading in the right direction.
