Many offices have a tradition during the last lunch of the week, to go around the table and ask everyone about their weekend plans. People share what they are most looking forward to in the weekend, whether it's a fun date night or a family gathering, and everyone gets a glimpse of their coworkers' lives outside of the office.

If we're being completely honest, we never liked that tradition, but not for the reasons you might think. Years ago, we might have been ashamed that our only weekend plans were to cuddle in bed with our cats and read a good book, while others went out and enjoyed their youth at some club, but not anymore.

These days, we have no problem going into great detail about our favorite things to do during the weekend, even if it's mostly sleep, eat, and read. We are proud to be the homebodies that we are, and we have no shame in it whatsoever. 

The reason we don't like this tradition is that now people in the office seem to turn to us and ask for recommendations on what they should do while in bed all weekend long. Suddenly, everyone wants book or TV recommendations, or they want to know what take-out we had on Friday night. Since when are we the influencers on how to spend the perfect night indoors? We don't like people; that is why we preferred to spend the weekend with our cats in the first place. Why would anyone turn to us for advice?
