The disrespect of people being out in public exactly where someone else planned to be is honestly wild. You show up ready for a peaceful little outing and suddenly the entire population had the same idea. The lines. The noise. The sheer presence of other humans existing in your chosen spot. It’s not about hating people. It’s about them being exactly where they shouldn’t be. Deeply inconsiderate behavior from society, really.

There is truly nothing scarier for an introvert than a stranger casually starting a conversation. The polite smile activates. The brain immediately forgets how to form sentences. Escape routes are quietly calculated in real time. It’s not personal. It’s just the sudden demand for small talk without a warning label. Heart rate up, social battery down. Few things are more intimidating than a cheerful “So, how’s your day going?” from someone you’ve never met.

Stepping one toe outside the front door absolutely counts as going out. The air was felt. The outside world was acknowledged. That is effort. Social quota met. Time to retreat back inside and recover from that brave, two-second adventure.
