It's been a long week in Leicester, but we are down to two players, who will battle it out for the title on Sunday.
Both players are in the midst of their own title droughts, so let's take a look at who is most likely to end their personal dry spell on Sunday.
2026 World Darts Grand Prix final: Luke Humphries vs. Gerwyn Price, prediction and preview
Here is my prediction and outlook for Sunday's match.

Gerwyn Price vs. Luke Humphries
Winner: Gerwyn Price, 6-4
Luke Humphries' semifinal win over James Wade means Humphries is into the final of this event for a fourth straight year.
He's lost the last two years (Littler: 2025, De Decker: 2024), but won the title in 2023.
Price, on the other hand, is in his first final at this event since 2023, when he ironically lost to Humphries in the final.

It's Price's fourth appearance in a WGP final, as he also has one title, which came for him in 2020 when he beat Dirk van Duijvenbode.
There's a lot on the line here, and Price hasn't won an individual major title since 2022 (WSoD Finals), and the Grand Slam of Darts was the last ranked final he's won (2021).
Humphries' drought doesn't go back that far, but Humphries has lost in five straight individual major finals since winning the Premier League in 2025.
Price has already made three finals at majors in 2026 (including this event) and was a semifinalist in three others. Both come into this match in solid form this week, but one player stands out a little more to me: Gerwyn Price.
Humphries' strength this week has been getting legs started, hitting doubles at a 53% rate in the double-in format.

Price isn't too far back at 47%, but Price does have the edge on doubles to close out legs, with a percentage of 46% for the event, compared to Humphries' 39%.
Price has been pretty consistent on the doubles when you look at both categories, and Humphries vast difference in percentages is a little concerning.
Humphries also hasn't faced much adversity this week, failing to drop a set until the semifinals. Price was able to battle back through some tough moments against Nathan Aspinall in the semifinals, as well as, most notably, in his 2-0 comeback against Jonny Clayton.

This may be two players we hear talked about and tied together in conversations across the next few months, as a title win for Price would give him a shot at passing Humphries on the OoM in the next few months, if he keeps this incredible standard up at major events.
Expect a close game, but I like what I've seen from Price scoring-wise, and think that category will be the big difference maker in who ends up winning this contest.
