The Jets weren’t the only ones affected by Dante Moore’s decision to return to Oregon.
Ducks quarterback recruit Bryson Beaver, who signed on to join Oregon’s football squad for the 2026 season, is now expected to hit the transfer portal in the wake of Moore deciding to not turn pro, On3 reported Wednesday.
Beaver enrolled in Eugene this winter but likely will play his freshman season elsewhere.

Oregon head coach Dan Lanning spoke highly of Beaver on signing day in December.
“You fall in love with the family — Bryson has an unbelievable group around him,” Lanning said then, according to 247Sports. And then you really get to recognize the arm talent, the things that exist there that are gonna be beneficial. And a piece you want in your program. Then the ability to mentally handle the load we ask our quarterbacks to handle. There’s a lot that goes to that. He’s a guy that checks all those boxes.”

Many draft prognosticators, including The Post’s Steve Serby, penciled Moore in as the No. 2 pick to the quarterback-starved Jets.
With Moore’s return to college ball, that throws a wrench into how the draft will shake out. Whether Gang Green keep this pick or trades out becomes a question as the draft looms.
Oregon will also, barring any other changes, have Nebraska transfer Dylan Raiola in the fold after he announced earlier this week that he’d be joining the Ducks.
With a talented quarterback group, Oregon will hope to take a leap next season after getting crushed in the College Football Playoff semifinals by undefeated Indiana last week.
