The White Sox, Rays and Brewers are all one win away from reaching the LCS round

We're two games through every League Division Series in the 2026 MLB playoffs, and the Brewers, White Sox and Rays are all one win away from reaching the LCS. The White Sox and Rays took 2-0 ALDS leads on Monday night, taking down the Guardians and Yankees, respectively. The Brewers, meanwhile, have a 2-0 NLDS lead against the Padres and will go for a sweep on Tuesday.
The only LDS matchup tied up through two games is Dodgers vs. Braves. Atlanta knotted the series up on Sunday with a Game 2 win and will send Chris Sale to the mound at home on Tuesday with the series lead on the line against the defending champs.
The White Sox improved to 4-0 in the postseason with their Game 2 win in Cleveland on Monday. All four White Sox playoff wins have come on the road, and they'll play their first home game of these playoffs on Wednesday in Game 3. The Yankees will head home trying to salvage their season, needing two wins in the Bronx to send their ALDS matchup back to Tampa.
The 12-team playoff field is down to eight as the Astros, Red Sox, Cubs and Phillies were knocked out in the best-of-three Wild Card Series last week.
