I’ve been fired from every customer service job I’ve ever had. Whatever social tool you need to put up with rude customers, I don’t have it.
I once threw a lemon at the head of a customer who yelled at me while I was working at Hot Dog on a Stick. Don’t start something with a guy in red short shorts and a silly hat. He already has nothing to lose.
While I’m sure these customer service employees have way more patience than I did, everyone has their breaking point. Some people come into places of business looking for an argument, and should be met with the same energy.
I throughly enjoyed this Reddit post full of customer service employee who had enough of a rude customer and told them to GTFO. Sometimes that’s the only call.
