Two construction workers died after they were found unconscious inside a Little Italy stairwell Saturday afternoon — with crowds who packed the famed neighborhood on the sunny day seemingly unfazed as first responders hauled their bodies away.

The two men — ages 35 and 34 — were discovered inside the apartment building at 118 Mulberry St. when police and emergency officials responded to the scene around 3:45 p.m., the NYPD told The Post.

The younger man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The older victim received CPR as paramedics carried him out on a stretcher — in front of nearby eateries, like Casa Bella and Manero’s Pizza, where outdoor diners and passersby appeared to barely take notice.

One woman, however, was visibly distraught after police arrived at the dismal scene.
