160+ Haitians Deported As ICE Cracks Down After TPS Termination

An ICE charter flight carrying more than 161 Haitian deportees arrived in Cap-Haïtien on Aug 21 in the first major removal operation to Haiti since the Trump administration ended Temporary Protected Status for hundreds of thousands of Haitians. The deportees were flown to northern Haiti because ongoing gang violence has made the capital’s airport too dangerous for US commercial flights.
