11-day-old Arizona baby found hundreds of miles away after being kidnapped

An 11-day-old baby has been found nearly 200 miles from home after being abducted from his Arizona home, cops have revealed.

The hunt began Friday night when the newborn was kidnapped from his home in Surprise. Lt. Tim Klarkowski revealed the suspect was the child’s father with no custodial rights. He allegedly took the baby without any permission, authorities said.

The Navajo County Sheriff’s deputies intercepted the kidnapper father and his vehicle near Winslow, Ariz., hours after an urgent “Attempt to Locate” alert got every trooper on their toes.  

The Navajo County Sheriff’s deputies and Arizona State Troopers formed a steel ring across the northern highways.

The deputies spotted the target car on Saturday morning, tearing through the desert landscape near Winslow. 

The father was driving through the desert when he was finally nabbed near near Winslow, Ariz.

Authorities are still finalizing formal charges against the father as the investigation remains ongoing. Google Maps

The officers were able to stop the car and save the child without a scratch.

“The infant was transported to a medical facility as a precaution and is awaiting reunification with his mother. We appreciate the assistance of Arizona DPS and are grateful this incident had a safe outcome,” the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post

Authorities are still finalizing formal charges as the investigation remains ongoing.

“Surprise Police detectives were able to intervene and worked diligently through the night. By investigating this case diligently and thoroughly, and communicating with other agencies, the child was located safely,” Klarkowski told Fox News.
