Former Texas A&M running back Le'Veon Moss will be stepping away from football. The All-SEC player who signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent announced his retirement this week.

Moss, 23, called it a career four days after signing with the team. Miami placed Moss on the reserve/retired list after rookie minicamp.

In 32 career games at Texas A&M, he finished with 1,767 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns. He was expected to be a top-100 pick in the NFL before a pair of injuries, including a torn ACL and MCL two years ago.

Miami Herald reporter Barry Jackson says Moss will have to return "most or all" of the $258,000 guaranteed in his contract.

A tough blow for Moss, who shined for the Aggies when he was healthy. Miami has a need for depth at the running back position and could've used his talents. However, there are other plans for his life.
